Just picked up CollegeHoops 2K7 for PS2. I bought it (only $20!) because I was told i can play as the Flames. This is true!! But what gives?! The players on the "UIC Flames" aren't even real. Is this a mistake or is it some rule that you can't have actual players for College games? This sucks.

The game is decent...and you still have Jimmy Collins as your coach!

Hey JP normally I get this game every year and decided not to this year. But the way it works is college kids are not allowed to make money off the game, for obvious reasons. So, the names are not allowed. However, if you do not put in the random names the numbers are of the actual players on the team. You can enter the names in for all the teams all though that would take many hours, if your like me you let some one else who has no life fill in all the rosters and then post them on line. You can get them through operationsports.com. You need a way to transfer the files like a sharkport (not sure if they make them anymore) or a similar product, they sell them at Gamestop. But yeah you can transfer the file in and play with all the players named. But I have seen the rankings on some of the players in the HL and they need to be adjusted, IMO no one knew how good Butler was going to be this year.

The players are real. They just don't have names. In an impressive thing for UIC, they actually have the real fight song in the game.

For what it's worth, UIC has been in college bball games for years now.

I have long been a March Madness guy. No longer. 2K7 is the cream of the crop, it is awesome.

I mean, you can see Jimmy Collins flunking his players IN THE GAME! It is SO detailed!

You have to do pep talks to disgruntled players during the season. I wonder how many Jimmy had to do to this point?

I heard that if you choose to be Tennessee, and you get ousted in the conference tournament, then you unlock the secret tape recorder, which you may then use to break the law when others are out-recruiting you. Don't get caught though...otherwise you'll be banished to D3 ball.

Any Pearl shots now have nothing to do with UWM. They have nothing to do w/ Tennessee either. They just have to do w/ Pearl.

Right now, I don't really care about Pearl except he likes to wear one of the ugliest jackets I have ever seen.

You don't know Jeter, you definitely didn't know Pearl, and believe me, you wouldn't like Collins if you knew him.

I don't know Pearl or Jeter or Collins (although I bumped into Collins a few times here and there).

Although I will say that Jimmy can show some style in the clothes he wears, while Pearl...c'mon man...that jacket has got to go!

Then again, maybe it is an old leisure suit. He kind of becomes a casa nova when he puts it on. Remember that time he tried to feel up that reporter at the press conference? (See below)
