This is an excellent questionnaire that asks strategic questions to evaluate your political, social, and economic outlook. It also compares you to historic persons of the past as well as current famous figures. politicalcompass.orgMy results: Economic left/right: -2.50 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.74 Fairly close to the middle, and remotely close to Gandhi... Everyone post your results!

Economic Left/Right -5.88 Social Libertar/Auth -4.26
This is a snapshot, and admittedly, an unflattering one. I don't think I would have scored this far left at any time since the end of the Vietnam War.
My hope is that our leaders will ditch the God-and-Guns crap, and get back to advocating individual rights, free enterprise and economic development. If and when that happens, my score will (probably) swing rightward and upwards toward the center.

One thing that I don't like about these survey is that they look for a black & white answer when there are a lot of gray answers out there. Or somebody's views domestically and internationally can vary dramatically.
Take the war in Iraq...you may support it or may be opposed to it...but the question is WHY? What is influencing your opinion? International affairs? Economics? Domestic sentiment? Anti-war? A Hawkish attitude toward war? It's probably a combo of these (and more). If you take 3 people who are against the war where one is against it because "war is wrong," another says that it a war the GWB wants for revenge and another says that it just strains our economy too much. Now the answer to the survey's question would potentially be the same...but those answers will vary in the type of political attitude you have.

Maybe your parser needs a rewrite - it does seem to crash frequently.
More testing, perhaps?
