Nice article in the Near West Gazette about the UIC soccer program:

The article quotes the increase in attendance over the last two seasons as being 675%. If that number is even close to being true, that is amazing.
I'm glad to see Trask has made cultivating goodwill with the neighborhood a priority. There are a lot of soccer fans in Pilsen and it would be great to see more neighborhood people at the games.
Also in the Gazette, UIC got a $19.6 research grant, the largest in the school's history:
