With a separate thread for all of the transfers that we have, I wanted to make a thread going forward for who we will actually have on the Roster next season
Returning Players (Next Season Year):
Brian Taylor - JR
Maurice Commander - SR
Jalen Johnson - SR
Deon Ejim - JR
Demetrius Calip - SO
Brad Bowditch - SO
Griffin Yaklich - SO
RayQuawndis Mitchell - SR
Zion Griffin - SR
The only players listed above that played major roles were Commander, Mitchell and Griffin. Commander had some injuries and person matters that occurred during the season. Mitchell and Griffin also dealt with injuries. Mitchell showed promise early in the year - I believe was named a Player of the Week once or twice - and Griffin had flashes but injuries seemed to play a role. I know that Mitchell had a leg or ankle injury and perhaps lingered al year. Griffin meanwhile I don't know if we ever were told what some of the injuries were.
Taylor and Ejim had some games with big minutes and a start here or there but really were used sparingly as the season moved on.
Bowditch and Yaklich are walk-ons.
Calip was a Freshman that only logged 3 minutes all season. He was a 3-star recruit coming out of school so I'm unsure why he didn't or if he will get more of a chance moving forward.
Recruits:
Jace Carter
Jaden Brownell
Filip Skobajl
Carter is a 3-star 6'4" 210 lb SG out of Florida. He averaged 24 PPG and 9 RPG this past season. Had some solid midmajor offers and is currently ranked the 49th prospect at his position in his class
Jaden Brownell is a 2-star 6'8" PF?C out of Utah. He averaged 20 PPG and 8 RPG this past season.
Skobalj is a little difficult to find information on as he is playing over in Europe. He's a 6'8" PF who plays on a club in Germany. At the 2020 Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Munich he averaged just over 15 PPG
Possibile:
Teyvion Kirk
We will see what happens with his situation as the summer comes
We should have 2-3 scholarships open now assuming the rest of the roster stays in tact.
