Holy Cross transfer Kyrell Luc is being recruited hardest by:
Missouri VCU Cal UIC among others.
#Gophers have contacted the Patriot League Freshman of the Year as well. He averaged 13 PPG for the Crusaders.
Well, hey, we're getting mentioned along with some pretty big time programs at least.

You guys know how I feel about small point guards. There are exceptions to every rule. Kyrell Luc from Holy Cross, is one of them! He'd be a nice transfer to get. He can get to the basket better than anyone we have now and he can get steals.

One concern is he is a turnover machine. Averages 2.7 TOs per game (to 2.4 assists). He’s had a number of games with 5, 6, 7 TOs. That is not acceptable. We have got to get away from that. If he can improve in that area, he’d be a great pickup. But we’re going to have to start valuing the ball, and valuing players that value the ball. www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/player/gamelog/_/id/4897904/kyrell-luc

Agreed.
Jace Carter (Soph) Brad Bowditch (Junior) Griffin Yaklick (Junior) Jaden Brownell (Soph) Filiip Skobalj (Soph)
Our returning players are listed above. I believe that at least Bowditch (and maybe Yaklich) are non-scholarship walk-on. So I believe we only have three returning scholarship players and add to that 3 incoming Freshman for a total of 6 scholarships. I would imagine that we will try and get one more incoming Freshman (Damien Mayo Jr. is the 3star Freshman mentioned earlier).
From there, I'd really like to get a good mixture of transfers - mixture in regards of graduation year. We had an issue during McClain era with so many players of the same class and when all graduated left the team with nothing. Would be nice to be able to mix that up a little.

Brad Bowditch is not on team any longer. Our NBA star did not hire a agent. He should be back or he be overseas making 7,500 a month for 3 months. Leaves school early for 22 thousand dollars a year. His advisers should make him come back to school. Win MVC player of year than go pro. Was probably our 3rd best player on a 7th place team. Not sure why he declared for draft.

No need to try to humiliate the young man flamernation. He was part of the team, seemed to care and deserves respect

I agree Greg. There are most likely factors we do not know about. Family needs the money, UIC was not a good personal fit for him, school was not his thing (college is not for everyone), he wanted to get started on his pro career where this $22k will be the lowest he ever earns (gotta start somewhere).
Rather have someone who is not really present when present not present with the present team! Ha
Best to him on fulfilling his dreams, hope he finds what he wants while the door is still open.

Where is this info about Bowditch? He doesn't mention it on his Twitter page.

Nick Martinelli @n_Martinelli1 Honored to receive an offer from the University of Illinois Chicago!
I believe that Nick Martinelli and UIC could be a great fit together

Agreed - think he’d be a great fit. Has size. Local. A small forward. Offers have been coming in quickly and as of now all midmajor and, I’m absolutely biased, but none that look better than UIC.
Decommitted from Elon due to a coaching change.
Would be a good get and then fill in with some transfers. But that would be a heck of a class!

He just got a couple more offers...Belmont and Northwestern. Those are tough ones!

The young man has numerous choices which is great for him. UIC has many positives that the other schools do not. Close to home, by far the best academics, can be part of a big time turnaround (look at Iowa State), in a large city with way more opportunities for NILs, etc. Wish Nick Martinelli well and I'm sure he's thinking about the pluses and minuses of each school
