Must win today to keep momentum but looks like uic is pretty much locked in as 8 seed? Anyone know if the stud freshman Baldwin is playing today? Doesn’t look like he played last game.

Last info after their last game from the Journal Sentinel indicated Baldwin was done for the season. Also, Flames and Milwaukee are locked in their respective seeds, and will play in Milwaukee regardless since UIC is not allowed to host a playoff game.

Finally a game where I didn’t have to worry until the end. Solid 2nd half except for a stretch where we gave up back to back 3s and starting taking very poor shots.
Solid final home game for Diggs. He had a couple huge blocks when they really mattered. And he finished at the rim tonight!
On to the tournament. I’d like to see us win one, but I’ve seen this play out before…where we win both regular season games before dropping the HL tourney game to them. Milwaukee, for whatever reason, has been able to do some damage as a low seed, and they have certainly been more competitive than us in this tournament over the years.

Nice win for sure against a bad team without Baldwin. On a side note does anyone notice the crowds this year? I swer they are barely drawing over 1000people a game. This has to change moving into the MVC.

The attendance will go up goveybaseball primarily due to stronger MVC team fans visiting. Hopefully students will see this and support UIC

This has to change moving into the MVC. Come on goveybaseball, stop it with the attendance. As bad as we've been this season, the Flames have averaged 2,093/game. I believe the attendance could quickly jump to 3,500-4000 with the move to the Valley, more familiar opponents and winning.

I'm with Govey. The eyeball test says no way there was anywhere near 3,000 at that last game (or any game). The ticket and marketing efforts seem to be non-existent the last few years. As far as what's ahead, who cares if there are really 3,000 fans at a game if 2,500 are the opponent fans?

No way in hell they are averaging 2000 fans a game Chuck, The game against UWGB couldn’t of been more then 500. The only fans I saw behind the south hoop was the 7 person band. This is a D1 college team they should be drawing more then Fans then a Freshman HS game sorry. Yes it will go up next year. I predict UIC is one and done. I can’t see this team going past winning one game. They don’t play well under pressure. On to the MVC!

As far as what's ahead, who cares if there are really 3,000 fans at a game if 2,500 are the opponent fans? I see your point, but money is money. UIC would love for the bulk of the ticket sales to come from fans and alumni, but as long as it comes, it's all good! No way in hell they are averaging 2000 fans a game Chuck, The game against UWGB couldn’t of been more then 500. The only fans I saw behind the south hoop was the 7 person band. I am not saying of you were at any of the games or specific games, but flamesfanatic, where was your eyeball test performed...live or from ESPN+? Govey, I watched the game against Green Bay on ESPN+ and it looked like more than 500 spectators. I wasn't there live so I really couldn't say. Did you have a CU1 Arena inside view? Just asking. My point is, when the Flames were winning the Pavilion had very nice crowds. That was mostly during the Jimmy Collins years which was roughly 1/3 of the UIC basketball program's existence. We even had some decent crowds when Coach Hallberg headed the program. Believe me, although the opposing teams' fans traveled well, they did not dominate the Pavilion. Flames fans showed up and we held our own. I was a frequent Pavilion spectator back then.

Chuck they panned out a few times and it looked empty. Like I said the south end behind the hoop had 0 fans besides like 7 band members. I even screen shot it and showed my buddy. I agree with you the crowds under Collins and Hallberg were a ton better. Uic already losing tonight one and done would not be a good look for Yak.

Closed the half strong, would like to see us get one more win against UWM in Horizon League play. Honestly that’s the only team I still want to see on the schedule once we leave, just because it was a fun rivalry for a while.
