There are 11 opponents, but I chose 3 so we could really focus on the top 3 teams we'd like to see the Flames go against. My choices were Drake, Missouri State and Murray State. From what we've heard of the Valley, every game is a cat fight, so the 3 choices should really be top notch.

I chose Drake, Murray state, and Illinois state. The first two because they’re quality opponents that I don’t really think that we’ve played much in our history. Should be able to get two games against each of them every year it’s gonna be pretty exciting in Spanish challenge for us. I chose Illinois State because they’re local, the closest one to us, and as someone in the field of education I know a ton of Illinois state grads so I’d love to rub it in their face after we beat them ( even though many of them don’t follow sports)

Without question I am personally most excited about Northern Iowa. Crowds will be good and as I stated in one of my other responses, you will have former teamates Cam Fens and Michael Duax on opposite sides of the court. It's a 3.5 hour drive to Chicago and a 1.5 hour dirve to Cedar Falls from Dubuque. Many in the area will travel to either location.
The other two teams I want to see are Drake, as they are always a tough team and I also am looking forward to the Evansville match up. They are new to the MVC as well and also have a young team.

I only know that because I chose Northern Iowa and its the only vote so far for them
I am actually looking forward to playing all of the MVC teams, it will be a welcome change

I’m really excited for all the games, but gonna go vanilla with the Illinois teams. Should all bring great crowds. Also, we have Yak’s alma mater, SIU with former UIC assistant Brendan Mullins on staff, and then Bradley, so we’ll get to see former Horizon League foe Green Bay’s former coach.
But from top to bottom, looking forward to all the games. Just hope we don’t have a miserable year.

Yes, we are young, with a new coach. I am not so sure about the new part since this will be our 29th season in the MVC. Hopefully some of you will make it down and enjoy a game down here.

I also thought Belmont would be up there with Murray. For me personally, I don't know anything about Indiana State except Larry Bird and we played Valparaiso twice a year just a few years back. My votes actually ended up being what the current top 3 are. I will say though that I am excited about every new team we will be playing (to varying degrees obviously). |

I'm excited as well. I know Murray St. and Belmont is a big rivalry, but for some reason I'm thinking the Flames will have a pretty intense rivalry with the Stankin' Ass Horses"! Our respective teams are composed of similar type players with an offense that likes to run. It'll be interesting!

Not surprisingly I think those are the teams I believe will bring the biggest crowds (although I don’t think Murray State pays us a visit this season?)
