Just pathetic
No fans No care Losing to garbage teams at home No success for 20 years No hope for the near future
What a dumpster fire of a program. Only UIC would put up with this level of incompetence

I understand it's non conference but to lose two games at home when your 14-15 pt favorites is unacceptable IMO. I would say todays loss could be the worst of Yak's career. Again I didn't see the game but is he losing this team? How is it possible to lose to these teams?

When is this program going to start getting its act together? We’ve lost to ISU, Green Bay, and now UIW at home. Shame on you! I only make it to one game per year. The cheapest ticket is $18. Crap beer is $12. Most merchandise is tremendously overpriced. People pay a small fortune to attend a game…and this is the effort we get? It’s a joke.
Box score said 1154 fans. There were so few people there they could be physically counted. Under 200 in the seats. And based on the game winning bucket by UIW, at least 50 of those were UIW fans.
I’ve really heard enough excuses…about how it is uncharacteristic of us to not play the scouting report or defend the three. When you do it enough times, that’s just simply who you are…an unprepared, undisciplined, average team.
I’d love to know how many times a Valley team has lost a home game to a 2-win low major on a 5-game losing streak in the last 10 years. My guess is it may have never happened. Yet here we are. We let this team come in here with intensity and slap our floor like I’ve never seen before, showing all kinds of disrespect…and we just roll over. This is unacceptable.
If UIC doesn’t finish 7th or higher in conference (news flash, we won’t), Yak needs to be relieved of his duties. In year 4, you cannot be losing home games to the likes of Green Bay and UIW. It’s very clear to me that he is just in over his head…and the fans have no interest in his program.
It’s time to start over…again. Evansville is like 10-2 in year 2 under a new coach. We’re in year 4 with 3 really bad recent home losses. Clean house Lipitz! Another swing and miss. When is the embarrassment going to end?

Exactly.
And I say this as someone who loves UIC but what exactly do we have to offer to recruits (to turn this around)?
Come play in front of a few hundred fans? Come play in front of crowds that are usually more visiting fans? Come play for a program that hasn’t made a tourney in 20 years?
And the future is bright! Okani is graduating. Some of our younger players are leaving for sure - I won’t say who but have a good feeling on a few (just gut feeling and not me knowing anything) We have one recruit for next year and he looks solid but will he stay? And Murray State has 2 top-150 recruits.
Such a fun season again for UIC!
I have a game on Jan 6 supposed to go to. What’s to be excited about?
Do they still have the Lagunitas Lounge at least?

Do they still have the Lagunitas Lounge at least? That’s a good question. I didn’t make it to that side so couldn’t say for sure, but I’m guessing it’s closed. The past two years, there has been only 1 merch shop, 1 food vendor, and 1 very expensive beer cart, and they are all to the left when you go in. I just don’t think there are enough fans to justify anything else being open. I feel like this team is just mentally checking out, particularly at home. We fouled a 3-point shooter three times in the first half. What in the hell are we doing? Meanwhile, we are failing to make our own FTs. Okani again missed the front end in crunch time…twice. That is 4 points just gone in a tight game. I looked at his stats. He is shooting 43% FTs…19/44 on the year!!! How many of those misses were front ends when in the bonus? That is a despicable stat. UIC is on a downward trajectory. Our record really isn’t that bad…for us…but we are way worse than our record indicates. We are about to have a hellish conference season. We are also likely now the worst team in Chicago…yes, below Chicago State, which can barely keep its doors open. They are having a solid year and their two 5-star recruits haven’t even played yet. Thank god they’re not on our schedule this year. Btw, where is Skobalj? He was sick for Western Michigan but still not better. You’d think we’d have enough to beat UIW without him, but apparently not.

Agree on all of this. How is it even possible to be outdrawn by Incarnate Word At home??? The campus is based in the heart of one of the biggest cities in the country. This marketing department needs to be completely replaced so embarrassing.
