presser just finished, from the team I only saw Yusef Salih, Jaden Brownell, and Khaled Khaled. I also saw Cj on the street after the presentation lol. Excited to see Ehsan go to work!

UIC should do some nil item for sale. Like Girl Scout cookies but for nil. Like some beverage or something.

Why no Q&A for coach? Didn’t miss much with the press conference. I’d prefer an event like SIU had with Nagy where he speaks, and then answers a few questions.

Watched the Ehsan intro press conference on UIC Flames YouTube channel. Some takeaways on my end:
-Coach has a personal mantra of "Be Legendary" - achieving success here in today's climate def would make him legendary -Our Chancellor spoke and said how important it was for here to hire a "player's coach" and speficially shouted out Ashleen Bracey as an example that. Interesting as it seemed to be clear she didn't think Yaklich was a "players coach." -Coach said he already has a began to assemable a diverse staff with local/chicago ties -Lipitz classified Ehsan's style as a "fast paced offense that's also efficient" -Coach pecifically shouted out Jimmy Collins and said he wants to replicate that era of success -He asked current player to stand up to be honored and seemed to mutter "JB, cmon!" encouraging players to stand up. If that's Bronwell, someone mentioned he was there in attendance too. So it feels like JB is a lock to stay

I like the Ehsan hire. Better than I thought we could/would do. I like his experience, across the US.
Now the tough part: Ehsan convincing Carlos Harris to stay, and possible getting back some of the players that went into the portal.

Just watched the video. Does coach know Depaul, Chicago State, Loyola all play basketball in Chicago. We not the only Chicago team. Depaul actually does play in west loop with their arena. We are in near west side/ urankian village. Depaul is in west loop.
Like the excitement, dont love the fact he dont knoe Chicago in and out like a local would.
Stanford does not do transfers. Only incoming freshman and graduate players. Game has changed a ton in last 3 years with transfer.
If coach dont get a power 5 drop back he screwd.
We need more than a Niagra transfer. Need some pac 12, big 10 sized guards. 6'3 210 guards. 6'9 pf.
Need some grown men on this team. Physical bodies. Ready to go, finish products.

Flamernation sounds like you don't know the city either. DePaul plays south loop not west loop. Uic arena is nowhere close to Ukrainian village. It's on Uic campus in little Italy and bordered by west loop.
