DePaul 79 St. Edward's 56 Loyola 80 St. Edward's 53 UIC 75 St. Edward's 45
Just thought of mentioning this, no particular reason. I know that some were worried about the way that Robert Morris played against another team, but do not fret.
Is it Monday yet!

vermont LED kansas today late in the 2nd half. it was only because of a small surge LATEE in the game from wayne simien that let kansas avoid an upset against VERMONT!
people...the home game versus G TECH is very winnable indeed!! kansas is #1 in the country with arguably the best frontcourt (and backcourt with aaron miles) in the land, yet squeaked by 68-61.
all we need is a result even SIMILAR to this, and there will be headlines like this one on ESPN.

I hate being the pessimist, but I cannot stop thinking about the eggs we've laid in the past when we've played big games. So far this season, there have been quite a few games in which the "mid-major" teams have given their opponents a scare and some have even pulled off a victory....Santa Clara, Miami, Wright State, Vermont....even Delaware State, although beaten at Illinois by 20, gained respect in the Chicago media today.
At home, and against GT, we cannot afford to lose by 15-20 points. What is it going to take for this team to finally come up big and beat a major program....we have at least 3 chances this year....

I couldn't agree more. UIUC last season, Indiana the one before, Kansas in the tournament. And you know what the main theme seems to be: We play scared. We always seemed to be intimidated by them. And you know the only game in recent history where we didn't play scared: Oklahoma. If you remember, we even made some comments in the paper about them being "farmboys" and that we weren't going to be intimidated by them, and we weren't. Granted we lost but that game was by NO MEANS a blow out. We were in it. So if you ask me, attitude means alot, and I think that has what has been lacking against these bigger teams.
