Well, this is it....the highest ranked opponent we've had at the Pavilion in years. This is a huge chance for UIC to gain some big time respect. This game is being televised all over the southeast US and of course, those in Chicago will see it as well.
Will we rise to the challenge and finally win a big game? Or will we fall behind big early and never catch up? In the past we've played scared against big teams and it hasn't helped that our opponents have played some of their best basketball against us (recall the red-hot Kansas and Illini teams we faced last year). If GT comes out shooting 80%, this game will be over in a hurry. Like I said before...we need to prevent them from getting a big early lead. I really wish we had Bailey and Armond and had that been the case, I think we'd have a great chance of winning this game. However, without them, I'm going to vote realistically, and say this will likely be a 10+ win by GT. In any case, it should be a good time tonight...the Pavilion will be rockin...hopefully with more UIC fans than GT fans....and I hope the Flames put on a good show and give GT everything they have...

Kick a little ass tonight! It's home floor action, I see no reason why the Flames can't do a little damage. As for GT coming out and shooting 80%, DON'T LET THEM! Good defense forces bad shots.
Remember, North Carolina got clobbered by Santa Clara last week, winning is very possible.

Two things for us to have a realistic chance of winning: Georgia Tech must come out overconfident and the Flames must not be intimidated!
If those things happen we have a chance. Having said that, on the floor the team needs to not let Schenser make a living down low. Justin Bowen needs to continue to shoot the ball well. Stefanov needs to regain his confidence and form that made him a Florida all-stater. In short, UIC has to play the game of its collegiate career.
