The UIC soccer team is now 3-0-1 on the season after shutting out yet another opponent. UIC beat Eastern Illinois 1-0, and UIC has now allowed just 1 goal in 4 matches this season.
I did not get to attend the game, but I heard that there was a record crowd that attended, with over 500 fans in the stadium.

UIC is the only unbeaten team in the Horizon League...hopefully, we can continue our streak.
The boxscore said we had 525 fans there. What is the usual amount for a soccer game? And, how many of those 525 were Fury members?

I am just guessing here and only really judging from about 5 games that I have been to, but I'd say about 200 fans or so.
And taking an example, I looked up the attendance from last years game against UWM, arguably the biggest home game on last years schedule and attendance was 243. And you would have to figure that was including alot more UWM fans than Eastern fans that might have been at the game today.

The crowd yesterday was awesome. The stands were packed and it was a beautiful day.
The new coaching staff had a lot to do with the crowd; they used their club contacts to get people out there. Also, the players helped out a lot to bring large individual cheering sections. We've been working hard to get people out to soccer and it paid off yesterday. We've actually fielded some calls for advance ticket purchases for this Friday's game.
There were not a lot of Fury members there yesterday...the student attendance was about 60 people.
However, we are expecting a much bigger turnout for this Friday's soccer game vs. Loyola @ 4:30pm. Then, after the soccer game there is a volleyball match @ 7pm vs. UWM. The crowds for both these events should be large, and we're really focusing on getting The Fury out to the events on Friday.
We'd love to have you guys come out and support the teams. Tickets are $5 for soccer and/or volleyball. On Sunday, Sept. 25th the soccer team is holding a free clinic to all kids 8th grade and below. Game time is at 1pm and the clinic is at 11am. So, if any of you guys have siblings or kids that want to meet the team and improve their skills you're more than welcome.
