Again, UIC soccer makes a big move to improve the program and the season hasn't even begun.
UIC Soccer has announced that Fire player CJ Brown will join the team as a volunteer Assistant Coach. To have a current MLS player and former MLS All Star on the coaching staff can do nothing but help the team. The coaching staff now includes CJ Brown (current MLS player) as well as a former MLS player, a former Indiana Asst. Coach and Coach Trask. I am not sure many schools in the country can talk about that kind of coachin staff.
And while coaching only takes a team so far, it has already shown in recruiting, as UIC landed an All American in their recruiting. And adding this recruiting class to a team that made one of the biggest turn arounds in the country last year...

Very nice....our staff is easily the best in the HL...and we are beginning to land better recruits...
The HL has very strong programs in UIC, Detroit, and UWM, but I believe we will find ourselves back at the top very soon...

With the type of coaching staff, players and recruits we're getting in, do you guys think the soccer team will equal or surpass the men's basketball team as tourney participants on a regular or semi-regular basis?
