UIC won in their last preseason game shutting out IUPUI 2-0. UIC struck quickly scoring 36 seconds into the match.
A little worrisome is that Pavle Dundjer did not play again. Arguably the Flames best player, he did not see a minute of action. Hopefully it's nothing serious.
Along with that, the goalie situation looks to be different this year. Jeff Englebrecht, the starter for all of last season, did not play a single minute yesterday, with the starter for the first two games being Jovan Bubonja, a redshirt Freshman.
The Flames open the regular season against St. Louis in Missourri Saturday, August 26th.

Can someone explain what IUPUI is about? I know it's Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis. Is it like a joint institution of continuing education or what?

Students who go to IUPUI have a choice of degree from either flagship University. They can choose to have their degree from either Indiana University or Purdue University. A pretty unique arrangement.
