Men's soccer does it again by beating a ranked opponent on the road. Skroce headed in the game-winner for a 1-0 victory. UIC soccer could be back this year. We must win the easy ones though. If all of our games were on the road and against ranked teams we might be undefeated.

Congrats to our soccer team. This victory alone won't put us in the top 25, but I we will be there before the end of the season.

UIC soccer again comes through with a big win. Just for a little perspective, this is the first time St. Louis has lost their home opener in over 10 years (1995). And the record at their stadium is 58-11-8 so this is a big win. Defensively, this team is superb and they have enough offensive firepowe that they can put up goals on teams.
The home opener is this Wednesday, and I believe I read that their is a pre-game barbeque for students (in case any students are on here).

That's a pretty impressive home record. Also, we had never beaten SLU before in 8 matches. The story at uicflames.com reported that there was an official attendance of 3,834 with a majority of those being SLU students. That's more than we receive at some basketball games Also from the story... "Trask knows that type of atmosphere gave his players an extra boost and hopes that UIC students can create a similar feeling at home this season. "Like Saint Louis, UIC has a men's soccer program in an urban setting," said Trask. "We're hoping our students can come out in full force to give us a home field advantage and create an environment like the one we played in tonight."" With that said, I believe Trask is going to be disappointed with the turnout of UIC students. We can't even get people to care about basketball so soccer will be tough. It is Depaul and we should win...it's our first night game (right?) and the cookout. This will probably be the highest showing of the season, but could there be more than 500 there?
