8:45 Tue, Aug 29:
Just walked by the soccer field. The lights are finally on. Today is the first time. (whew! It really didn't look like they were going to be done in time). The new fence is almost finished, and despite the fact that it is pouring rain, the Flames our out practicing for tomorrow night's game!

Very good to hear! Very exciting!
The other day after the great win over St. Louis, John Trask pointed out how St. Louis has some great fan support and they're also an urban university. I know that they have 10 more championships than we do. I'm sure he doesn't expect 3,500 fans tomorrow, but I think fan support is growing, slowly but surely. And with success comes more fans and I really think that this seasons team, as well as the future, is in great hands and is very bright!
I won't be able to make the game tomorrow against DePaul but definitely have to attend at least one home game this year.

We added lights to Englemann Field here in Milwaukee. I'm kinda sad that UIC and UWM play in Chicago, it would be a cool night game.

UIC always plays Milwaukee tough, (and vice-versa), and from the pre-season perspective, it could very well be THE game of the regular season for both teams..
