Where is Creighton. I'll be on the bus! Awesome game at Northwestern, with an even better student section than ever! Chanting "This is Our House" is always a plus.

What an amazing night! You can't beat a great soccer game played in front of an outstanding crowd. Or, I should say 3/4 of a crowd, because the NU section was so flat-out LAME I am reluctant to count them. There was one guy singing and chanting by the porta-johns and we were joking about how lonely he looked. Somebody suggested he should just give up and move over to the UIC section. LOL.
On the field, things were more even. Nothwestern is a very good team. On an individual level, they seemed older or more experienced. But UIC held together, played really well as a a team, and eventually took control of the game. When Stoll scored the goal, the place erupted, and when Sarachan kicked in the empty-netter, the place went beserk.
It was the most entertaining UIC sporting event I have ever been to, and special because sweet sixteen appearances are so rare at UIC.
UIC now goes on to play Creighton, a team they beat during the 2005 season, in Omaha. This will be a really tough game.
All I can say is what an exciting team thse guys have turned out to be!

Creighton will be tough, most definitely. But after beating St. Louis and Northwestern both on the road (even though the crowd was pretty pro-UIC yesterday) anything can happen!
The game was definitely awesome. I remember when nobody would go to UIC home games and then to see the number of UIC fans at an away game yesterday was excellent.
Pavle and Cesar are both awesome players, but the future looks bright when guys like Spiess, Younger, Stoll, and Trout (all Frosh) are stepping up huge!
That play when we thought NU for sure would take a 1-0 lead was an amazing play and hustle by the UIC defender (whose name, I am sorry, I cannot remember at the moment).
