2/3 of the signees were endowed profs and chairs at UIUC? Does this mean some Chicago people signed? Typical Chicago media, not a single mention of UIC or UIS.
I really don't have an opinion on Hogan. What positive thing has he done for UIC? Oversaw the name change of the medical center to something that people automatically associate with UIUC? Bad. Wanted more integration between the 3 campuses which resulted in UIUC complaining that that type of association would weaken UIC? Bad.
There's no pretending UIUC doesn't run the show here. If they cause a big enough stink, even if UIC and UIS thought he was the best president out there, he'd be fired faster than UIC basketball finds itself trailing by double digits.
