UIC was embarrassed 4-0 by Wright State in tonight's soccer match. Per UICFlames.com, this is the third straight game that UIC has failed to recorded even 10 shots - not shots on goal but overall shots.
All 4 of Wright State's goals were in the first half.
I'm not one for calling for people's jobs but our new Chancellor pointed out the importance of our flagship sports - notably basketball, soccer and baseball - in helping spread positive light on our school. Basketball is making strides, it isnt baseball season so I won't go into that, but soccer was once a go-to sport for us. It's not an after thought.
Get rid of Sean Phillips! This is done! Get a difference maker. John Trask changed the program immediately. Sean Phillips has done NOTHING!

Couldn't agree more, John. The soccer proram has been set back may years! The program is a mess and the results are even worse. Phillips tried to ride on the coattails of Trask for as long as he could be he fell off years ago. If we are to believe Amiridis at his words, we should see Phillips fired at the end of the season. We will also see Dee showed the door follwing this baseball season. Just going to make a prediction here regarding baseball. They will have a terrible pre-conference record. The team will finish secord or third in conference play and will finish around .500 because we will pick up wins against Chicago St and some small Wisconsin schools and such. We will lose in the semis of the conference tourney and be shutout of the NCAA tourney for the 8th or 7th or 10th season in a row. Sound familiar??
