We swept Youngstown State at home in the opening series of the Horizon League season.
Normally, a BFD event. The only reason I bring it up is that today we swept a double-header in a DOUBLE SHUTOUT. We won 3-0 and 1-0 in 12 innings. Also, yesterday we won 10-2 and Y'State scored their 2 runs in the 9-inning against a pitcher not likely to see much action this year. In other words, we could have very easily had 3 shutouts.
I know it's only Youngstown State, but to hold ANYBODY to 2 runs in 30 innings is quite an accomplishment. Nice job, pitching staff. (On the other hand, we score only 4 runs in 21 innings against a team that had a team ERA of 8.50 coming into the game).

I have to say the offense is starting to worry me a little. Playing Missouri and Vanderbilt expect lower scoring affairs. However, not against Youngstown State. Maybe let it slide another series or two until we get warmer weather but, despite a nice start, need to get that offense going.
