The UIC women’s soccer team made a huge jump last year. Obviously they’re trending in the right direction and with their new coach coming in last season made an immediate impact.
However, I’ve seen some of the recruits they have coming in - some All State players and some that have at least trained in national programs - feel like this program could be one they competes nationally.

When considering the guy's track record (run out of last two jobs) no surprise to hear the women's soccer coach is out. On the surface, his hiring seemed to be the one positive from Klassy's regime, but now the ex AD gets a solid F for his tenure. Too bad for the student athletes on the team--but then again they may be better off if the coach didn't learn from past mistakes.

I’m confused - what went down? I just saw that he isn’t being ‘reappointed’ is the term that they used. The team went 12-6 and had some really good looking recruits.
It had to be more than just the results on the pitch. Is there more to the story? Or I should say what else is there to the story?

Word is that he is certified psycho, a nightmare to work with. Fear, intimidation was his M.O. with Athletics staff, players, etc.

Wow, just a few days ago, there was an article on uicflames.com talking about all the success of the Anagnost coaching tree. Now that article is gone and coach is out? He turned the program into a winner in 1 year (and an HL title contender in 2) after an alum accomplished zilch in the program’s first 5 years.
Could it be he just does things differently? Every coach is different, and they all try to get the most out of their players in different ways. The results speak for themselves...he wins. If he’s intimidating and holds people accountable, I don’t really care. Does UIC just prefer less controversy and losing?
I certainly don’t know what’s going on...I assume there’s a valid reason, but it’s just odd to boot a coach ready to compete for a title...again. Let’s just hope assistant coach Downey can keep the train moving forward.

As I recall, he left his last job suddenly and after success. Might not be the best guy
