Was listening to postgame and JHood and Kenny mentioned Wisconsin’s tribute to former UIC head coach Howard Moore yesterday. Found a video of it here: youtu.be/wqgXytTwzZATough for me to watch this. After the horrific car accident that killed his wife and daughter and injured Howard and his son, Howard had a heart attack, which apparently left him disabled. I had no idea of the extent of his disability. Anyway, despite all of this, he looked very happy to be out on that court yesterday, surrounded by people that love him. I hope he can continue to recover.

I read the story on-line at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, and also saw the tribute video. Whatever you thought of him as a head coach in college, be aware that he is beloved at UW-Madison. Certainly a great human being.

I am glad that someone posted this. I saw it last week on Twitter, and then watched the ceremony, or at least parts of it, yesterday, on there as well.
I remember reading that horrible story years ago about his family and him and just awful that sounded. I had no idea how he was doing. Honestly, I just assumed that he went to hospital and recovered as well as a son. So seeing the state he was in was heartbreaking, but glad he was able to celebrate With them and be there for that.
In terms of coaching at UIC, that part is pretty irrelevant right now. I do know that in reading stories about him he was always very well liked, and very well respected during his time here.
Overall, he’s definitely a Wisconsin person, and his time at UIC was just a blip on the radar overall, but all the best wishes for him. Truly awful story, but glad he was able to make his return there.
