"Too Many Connections" message...

By now I'm sure most of you have gotten this message on occasion or have experienced slowness with the board. There's nothing I can do about this. As I have said before, in our URL, you'll notice proboards28. That is the name of the server we are on, and it probably holds thousands of boards just like ours. When tons of people access all of these boards at the same time, this results in a bottleneck, and the server starts spewing out this connection message. I have been told that you should not just keep trying, as it will only get worse. Insetad, give it a break, and try again later. Also, being the cursed individual that I am, we were randomly put on proboards28, which according to the support staff is one of the worse servers right now (always very busy)....unlike proboards5 where UWM is (apparently, they have never had a single problem). To reduce the stress on proboards28, the support staff has disabled signups (no new boards are being put on proboards28) and they say it will be getting better in a couple days (I noticed today that it has been better than in the past). Today (Nov 23) was unique in that the entire server went down along with some proboard30's. They are also saying that they are upgrading, which will make it better....
Until then, I really would prefer not to address this issue. We just have to live with it or use the old board, but I think this thing is working enough that we can live with it for now. Plus, have you noticed how many more posts we're getting and how many members we have....this is just the beginning.
I apologize in advance for any future problems, but yes they're going to continue to happen. And if you haven't noticed, the worst times to use this board are probably between 2:00-6:00pm. So you can probably expect the most problems then....
