To all UIC fans.... To maximize your experience here at the UIC board, I strongly urge you to register. Sure, you can post as a guest, but there are so many extra features that come with registering....here are some.... - All posts you make will automatically have your name filled in.
- You will be able to see which posts are new (there will be a marker next to posts that says "NEW").
- You can get email notification of replies to your posts.
- You can send private messages to other members.
- Nobody will be able to post using your name (you can "secure" it so that no one else has it!).
- Every registered member has a profile. In your profile you can choose how your name is displayed, change your password, set your email address, change how the time is displayed on the forum, set your own time zone, and create a signature, which appears at the bottom of each of your posts.
- You can create and vote in polls.
- You have access to the calendar feature, which allows you to see UIC's schedule and results.
- Your total number of posts is tracked, and as your total increases, your board ranking will be upgraded.
- Finally, you will be an official part of the UIC message board community, and that's what we're trying to do....make this one big place where UIC fans can come and talk about their team.
Are you convinced? If so, click on that "Register" button. ;D Also, if you are having trouble registering, see the "Official "Problems Registering" Thread" and post your problem if you cannot figure it out....I will help you. [glow=red,2,300]Go Flames![/glow]

And to clear up any misconceptions about registering, you do not get any spam e-mails sent to your e-mail account (with the exception of your registration confirmation).
I've been on boards like these for a couple of years now and have yet to receive a spam e-mail because of it.
