Here is some great publicity that was not needed. That UWP loss seriously set this program back. And people are wondering why some of us fans are expressing our disappointment? espn.go.com/dickvitale/BestofWeek041227.html

Jesus! Why don't you all just commit suicide or, worse, root for UWM? If UIC is so hopeless, then why are you all bothering to pay so much attention?
Mourning time is over, folks. HL play starts shortly, as in, tonight. Focus on that. Parkside was a loss, pure and simple. Yeah, it was D2 but I seem to remember some team (Michigan?) losing to a D2 team and still making the tournament. It CAN happen. It's NOT the end of the world. So get your heads back in the game and start pushing for the Flames.
I'm NOT suggesting you all act like lemmings. If you went to games before, don't stop now. But don't be afraid to show your displeasure, either. They do need to know that you're pissed and not happy so that they don't get too comfortable in their suckiness. Hey, it's your right to b!tch, do so.
Gee, does no one remember when the Flames really did suck? Come root for my team for awhile.
As for Dukie Vitale... consider the source. The man doesn't know s@#! about teams west of the Appalachians. The east coast twits may give him credence, but most of the rest of us just laugh at his unbridled idiocy.
Seriously, the sky is NOT falling.

No one is saying the sky is falling. No the world is not over. But I sure as hell am not going to be doing back flips over this team. Expectations at the beginning of the season were high because the team has the ability to perform. Not even coming close to those expectations is very disappointing.
I am an NU alum also. Everyone has had low expectations for NU's b-ball team. Their goal this year is to do better than .50 this season. They will probably beat those expectations in a tougher league than the HL.
