Illini fix is in?

Is it just me or does anyone else find it strange that one side of the Big Ten plays close games and loses. I mean it would be better for the Big Ten to let in either Illiniois or Minnesota. Just seems odd to me, not sure how a team with 14 wins this year is pulling off these huge wins all or a sudden.
