How many of you believe they resigned on their own or were "forced" out? I really don't know and was wondering if anyone had any inside information. I do find it kind of baffling that both of them would resign together and not one stay on to implement their own style. uicflames.cstv.com/sports/w-softbl/spec-rel/051408aaa.html

Thank God! They were awful. McGovern handed them a great program and they ran it into the ground. I'm sure they were forced out because they were terrible. Hopefully they can get somebody who knows how to win in there so that program can get back on track. They were really a special program when McGovern left, taking them to a World Series.

You'd figure that since they, or at least Sarah, were under McGovern's tutelage, they would've done a better job. They did, however, keep ties to the west coast recruiting pipeline.

I for one had a great deal of respect for Tom and Sarah. Their resignation took the entire softball community by surprise.
To Tom and Sarah: Let it be known that you have a great deal of support. the grass will be greener! Best of luck!
