I know we don't usually post about pro teams here, but for those Sox fans on this board that haven't heard yet- Carlos Quentin is out for the rest of the season. He broke his wrist and will be having surgery on Monday. The Sun-Times mentioned that it may have been caused when Carlos punched a locker in Boston. If this is true, I'm pretty disappointed. I understand that emotions run high when you play sports and sometimes players don't think before they react, but players have a responsibility to their teams to try to do what's in their control to stay healthy. And to do this in the middle of a penant race???!!! What a way to end an Allstar and possibly an MVP season. I'm hoping that this rumor isn't the truth, but however he broke his wrist, what a loss. I don't think that this is it for the Sox, but it definitely was a crushing blow to their playoff chances.
Anyway, I just wanted to vent. I'm pretty devastated.

SS2002,
I'm with you! Although our Sox are up 9-0 right now. Losing Carlos is terrible. Hopefully our guys can rally for the rest of the year without him.
