UIC College of Business

Hello all,

New to the board here. I'm currently a Junior at SIU, and after this semester I'm getting screwed out of my lease, and instead of trying to find a new place to live I'm just going to transfer close to home and finish out school. I'm a Finance major, so I was wondering whether or not anybody here knew how well the College of Business is at UIC? I applied and was accepted and all of that, just wanted to see if anybody here could shed some light on the COB or the Finance program at UIC. Thanks to those that can help

The College of Business is great at UIC. I'm an Entrepreneurship major. I have some friends that are Finance majors. I can't speak directly about the Finance program, but all those that I know in the program seem to be doing well and have good futures ahead of themselves after they graduate.

As for the college, we have great professors and programs. I would highly recommend it over SIU's business program, especially if you're looking for a job around the city. The internships and programs that companies offer UIC students are top notch. Guys like JP would be who you want to listen to since they're actually in the college, but if you also want to see rankings, UIC's wikipedia page says that UIC's finance program is ranked 22nd (accounting is 28th), according to the 2007 US News & World Report.
