The guy is dumber than a box of rocks, so I don't expect much from him. You'll notice in this article that he refers to Loyola as Loyola and not as "Loyola-Chicago" or the like. However, there are multiple Loyolas in this country so I'm not sure why he's not using an unacceptable, but clear, reference as the first reference. One of his reasons for saying "Illinois-Chicago" is that it's AP style to do so. Yet, he conveniently ignores AP style reporting of Loyola, where it often refers to Loyola as "Loyola of Chicago". I yelled at him in my last email so I'm obviously not going to get a response again from this guy. But he's entirely inconsistent and refuses to address UIC's, the HL's, and our issue. It's clear either he or the Tribune has an agenda against UIC. He probably graduated from Champaign.

Our version of "the Butler Way" is "UIC ya later", which is what potential recruits tell us as they sign with another school.

For those keeping track of this stuff we are listed as "Illinois-Chcago" in the section of the Trib sports that gives the capsul updates and are listed as such in the WOMEN'S results for the Horzon League tournament going on right now..

Someone on the Loyola board stated that John Mullin will be standing in the unemployment line, as he just got axed from the Tribune. Good news for UIC fans. There's no room at the Trib for a guy with such low intelligence and disregard for his readers' opinions.
