Yeah, I saw they sent him back down...it probably didn't help that after his two big days (2 homeruns, triple, a few RBIs), he had two not-so-great days, going 0-3 and 1-5 with at least 3 strikeouts.
I read up on the Tigers message board a few days ago and from what I gather, some fans believe Granderson is the CF of the future for their team and that he was sent back down because he was outperforming other players that Detroit was looking to trade. However, some fans believe that management is not convinced that Granderson is the answer and so they brought him up to showcase his skills and get other teams interested in a trade (which apparently never happened)....
I'm not sure how many times a player can be called up/sent down but it has to be a good number....the Cubs call the same people up multiple times every year....and I think Granderson's only been up 2-3 times total.

The Tigers called him back up in the middle of August after one of their outfielders got put on the DL and he started the game tonight against the Sox. They are playing Detroit for the weekend so it'll give us a chance to see him play. Right now he's batting a little over .250 .

I believe a team has six options on a player before he becomes a free agent. I could be wrong, though.

Granderson has definitely shown glimpses of what he may become but it's clear he's not ready. After playing one good game, he plays two bad ones, and then sits out a game....and he strikes out way too much. Apparently, he's not used to the breaking ball....so he'll be working on that in winter ball....
Maybe next year...

For anyone that didn't know, Curtis robbed some guy of a homerun yesterday....you can see it on the main page of detroittigers.com
...of course, they did not show this play anywhere on Sportscenter or Baseball Tonight...what a joke!
