UIC baseball is considered the class of the Horizon League. But even this score came as a shocker to me. In a doubleheader played Tuesday, UIC beat UWM, who was chosen to place 2nd in the HL this season, by a score of 24-2. UIC outhit UWM 23-6 and posted innings of 6,4,8, and 5 runs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bart Babineaux was named HL player of the week for the 3rd straight time. He had a pretty nice little series against UWM. He also has to be front-runner for HL POY...
I'd love to see us do some damage in the postseason this year...we fell just short of knocking off some big teams last year.

Babineux is just playing amazing! Two more homers yesterday. And all of this is still against UWM, the second best team. It's not like we beat up on Chicago State 24-2 or anything. If we could get back to the post-season, I think we could do something. Every year we're just getting closer and closer. A few years ago when we made it for the first time to the postseason, I believe, it was against Stanford and just seemed to play it out. But last year, taking NC State and Nebraska and giving them as much as they could handle. And that was against a Top 3 Nebraska team at their place.
