For anyone who didn't see, UIC baseball defeated Northwestern 23-5. Northwestern is in first place in the Big 10. Now, I don't know if they were resting our starters or not (in fact, I think we rested some of our guys) but that kind of huge win over a first place team in a major conference is nice to see. So, baseball fan or not, enjoy crushing a "major" school.

The box score shows absolute destruction of NU. UIC would probably compete for the Big Ten if we were in it. Hopefully, women's tennis can pull the upset over NU this weekend so we can continue our dominance over the Cats....

Northwestern seems to be a little embaressed by the outcome of that game that they did not even give a recap or mentioning of it on their website. The score shows up on that little scoreboard on top of teams sports site, but if you go under the baseball section, you would think the game never happened.

UIC Baseball has done some crushing this season, no doubt. They've outscored their opponents this year 303-198.
