The baseball team beat Butler 2-1 on Friday--normally not a big deal. The neat thing about the win was how it happened. We were down 1-0 in the 9th inning, with 2 runners on base, our guy hit a routine fly ball that the Butler played dropped, allowing 2 runs to score and give us the win.
Last month, we had a one run lead with 2 outs in the 9th and 2 Vanderbilt players on base, when a routine fly ball was "lost in the snow" by our outfielder. Both runners scored and we lost a heart breaker. Is this poetic justice or what?
