Well, it's finally here! UIC opens up the season at #4 Texas. For those interested, the game starts at 3 and there is a link on the UT home page to watch the game for free. I will certainly be watching and have been looking forward to it for a while now.
Go Flames!!

You've got to give the Horizon League teams credit. They sure don't shy away from top competition. Here's today's schedule from www.ncaa-baseball.com/daily/today.htmWright State @ #4 Texas A&M Youngstown St. @ #5 Georgia Milwaukee @ #7 Arizona State UIC plays the "patsy" in the bunch, #8 Texas. Good luck to all.

Kudos to the baseball team this weekend.
It may sound silly, since we got swept in 4 games.
However, some bright spots emerged: we lost the last 2 games by scores of 3-1 and 1-0, boding well for our pitching staff against the #4 (or #8, depending on the poll) team in the country. Granted, you're not going to win many games scoring only 3 runs in 4 games. But then again, look at the quality of the competition.
We won the HL last year with a final RPI of 158. So, considering everything, I think we did pretty well this weekend.
