I'm going to go with "it's nice that we're on the radar, at least". ;0). And that they called us UIC.

We're beating Loyola and DePaul doesn't have nearly the advantage they assume they would. I also agree with your positives.

UIUC and Notre Dame are Chicago-area schools? Why isn't NIU on the list then? Or any other school that is closer than those two? The poll would have been much better had they only had Chicago teams on there. Instead, half the people vote for a school on a farm 2.5 hours away.

I think the large number of UIUC grads in the Chicago area has to do with them being on the list, and subsequently "winning".

Also, do not overlook the fact that the top 3 schools are also football schools and the bottom 3 are basketball only........could affect the scoring beacuse of a larger fan base.
