Given Urbana's "what's in it for me?" attitudes about just about everything, I guess we shouldn't be totally surprised:

But lets face it: this 10 mil failure lies squarely at the feet of President White, who took a huge gamble, and lost. Is he on the way out? Does anybody know how long his contract is for?

I can't say I know too much about this whole thing, but I remember reading not too long ago that it was a disaster from the beginning. I am incredibly surprised to see that something that was a huge waste and burden on the University of Illinois system has made a few changes and in a new form will still be around. That kind of puzzles me. If it was as bad as being talked about, shouldn't some major changes be made? And maybe, the crazy idea, that it should be scratched all together? I don't know what major schools offer online degrees but this doesn't seem to be working here. If it's not, let it go.
