Other than the 3 students (one from each of the Chicago, Urbana-Champaign, and Springfield campuses) and the governor, I was curious where the other 9 trustees graduated from...
Here are the results...
UIC: 1 UIUC: 6 UIS: 1 Other: 1
One of the guys went to the Navy Pier campus and Urbana campus, and then went to Law school at the Urbana campus so I counted him towards UIUC. So, at best, maybe you can count UIC for 1.333 and UIUC for 5.667, but there is only 1 trustee that graduated from UIC as we now know it.
Either way, how is this makeup at all representative of all 3 campuses? We wonder why UIC is still in the shadow of UIUC? This might have something to do with it.

No surprise there. There are many "stories" out there where UIUC has gotten preferential treatment. I would think it would be in the best interest of the U of I system to promote all three campuses equally and to have an equal voice on the board.
I had hoped the allegations of cronyism would have helped to clean the board out and reduce some of Urbana's influence but I am not sure that will happen. In the future as UIC continues to grow and develop, I hope they gain a greater voice on the board. ( I confess to knowing nothing about UIS)

We cant expect to gain a better voice on any board if UIC's own representatives continue to fall into the gap of ridiculously self-absorbed antics that plague UIUC. The last couple of years, USG and the Trustee's office at UIC has NOT represented our University properly.
