I'm posting this with 12 minutes to go in the half.....whether we come back to win or not, we look absolutely horrible. Nobody watching this game can possibly say we look any good. Are we running an offense or is it one on one....it's the latter and we shoot right into somebody's arms every time. Are we playing defense, because their post players are doing the same move every time....fake inside, turn outside....up and in. It's time to bench Elliott Poole....he does not deserve to start with his horrible play...airball...no D.....has he even hit the rim? Contract extension for Jimmy???

We have absolutely no inside game. WSU is just outsizing and outmuscling us.

It's 1:58 left and Collins has given up the game by putting in Bond, Bush and Boyd. Banks is on the bench.
I'm gone.

72-61 is the final, Wright State. We have to hope for a miracle in the HL tourney, where the final game will more than likely be played in Milwaukee.

Just got back. Horrible news. I wasn't in a good mood prior to this, and let's just say, I am incredibly pissed now. How do we lose to Wright State by 11!

Well it looks like we might be struggling to get a bye in the first round of the playoffs, so assuming we only win games at home the rest of the year, and against YSU, CSU. We would probably be in 5 place, that is unless LU comes out of left field and knocks us to 6th. The question im wondering is would we be better off playing in the first round, I mean of corse we could lose but why not win a game against CSU or YSU and then play the likes of UGB, UWM, and however. I guess I just keep watching us fall and am waiting to see this team have some type of life. So where are we going cause it seems like this team is headed for an early exit.

What is up with this team? I mean, I just don't get it. How did Collum play? It seems that as he goes, so do we. That's how it was early in the year with our bad play at PG. How did Ced do? It seems for every good game he has he follows with two bad ones. How are we going to be next season like this!?!?

Collins is actually going to have to design an "offense" instead of this crap with ced running around. It's fine and all, but the other team isnt worried about anyone else because no one can shoot the damn ball.
Armond, every time he touches the ball he has to shoot, and he's not a good inside player.

This team doesn't have the horses to consistently score 70+ points per game.
Any team that crosses the 65 point mark stands a VERY good chance of beating them, and everybody in the league knows it.

Lets get real! The answer is in the coaching. Is the administration going to make a big deal early next year when Coach becomes the loosingest coach in UIC history as it did this year, when he became the winningest coach. If this was ND he would be gone. TIME FOR A CHANGE!!!

Lets get real! The answer is in the coaching. TIME FOR A CHANGE!!! It has to be the coaching....there really is no other explanation unless the kids he's recruiting have poor work ethic....which may very well be the case....but even then, you'd have to question recruiting decisions. But seriously, look at the talent we have....was Deshaun Wood rated as high as Banks coming out of HS. Was Jordan Pleiman recruited as hard as Elliott Poole? Yet, Poole was absolutely non-existent last night while Pleiman made him look silly. Wood also made Banks look pretty bad. This goes for other teams as well like UWGB, for instance....it just seems that these players, although not the greatest individual talent, are improved by working as a team, whereas each of the UIC guys just wants to throw up a shot and not play defense. And yes, it was a road game, but I'm tired of that excuse. UWM seems to have no problem winning on the road, Loyola beat UWGB by 20 on the road, and UWGB just smashed Detroit on the road....so us being on the road is not an excuse....a good team (emphasis on team) can take some of these games.... It has to be coaching? Jimmy's a class act and all, and I respect how he gives kids chances and gets them graduated, but I don't think he's doing enough with the talent he has.....give this team to Bruce Pearl or even WSU's coach, and what happens? Could we win a tourney game? But it's a lose-lose situation for us....we get rid of Collins and what happens? We likely would get less talent and would the new coach, if a winner, be around for as long as Collins appears to be? I doubt it.

Big D I dont agree with you, on the road thing. Sure you can list many games where someone be someone at home. But it still is one of the hardest things to do. I never felt confident going to WSU infact I feel they are one of the top teams in this league. The fact is we have struggled playing on the road where ever we go. And our home record for the last 5 years has been outstanding, its just one of those things. Why do you think we cant bring in big programs to the Pav? Because winning on the road is very tough. I dont think its time to cut Jimmy's head off. Give it sometime, the tourny is still a ways away and we seem to play our best in that situation, so lets just see how things go.
