Guaranteed acceptance?

Serious question. Why do we sign up for programs like this? I'm not saying it's good. I'm not saying it's bad. I just don't know why we would agree to let 5 WIU students into the college of pharmacy every year. What if there are better students? Oh well, out of luck...a WIU student with a 3.5 GPA gets to transfer. Is WIU a good school? What is UIC getting in return? Cash?

Good question. I am not sure what UIC gains out of this. Are we just trying to keep more of the top students in-state? Are we trying to create ties between the in-state schools since we know that UIUC doesn't want anything to do with us?

But yeah, it does have it's drawbacks. However, I'd also like to point out that it doesn't say 5 will be accepted every year. It says that up to 5 would be accepted each school year. Perhaps there will be a year when none are accepted.

I did see that we made a similar agreement with NIU and I know nothing good academically is coming out of there
