Hey, pretty new to the board...I don't know how I found it, but I'm glad I did. I am a UIC alum (02) and follow UIC religiously.
Now onto the main topic: big time game v. Butler this Saturday (1/29) Butler is having a tough time this season, but you can be sure they'll be fired up to play us.
UIC has gone cold the last 2 games, but we are still in decent position to make a solid run for the rest of the year. We have a lot of home games left and all we need to be able to do is get hot during the HL tournament.
Let's try to help them get back on schedule this Saturday. Tell all your friends about it...Tell your co-workers. Just make sure you come to the game and bring your yelling voices. The team TEXT our support now!

Hey tHOM, welcome to the board....glad you found it. Like most new visitors, we recommend you register. There are some benefits listed in the suggestions section of the board....check it out. In any case, yeah, this is a huge game against Butler. I had predicted we'd win this game but Butler always plays us tough. And you could bet that after being embarrassed by CSU tonight, that they will be looking to take it out on us, even at UIC. If we don't turn things around, i.e., if we come out playing like we did against WSU, we could very well be upset. Poole is going to have to step up his game and start using his big body to get position and dominate defenders.....and we need to find some consistency. Stefanov played a pretty good game against WSU but how will he do Saturday? Actually, our schedule is pretty decent the remaining way, so you're right, we do have a chance, but we're still going to have to perform better than what we have been. Anyway, hope you're a regular visitor to the board. See, some huge UIC fans actually do exist out there Please spread the word to any other UIC fans you know.... [glow=red,2,300]Go Flames![/glow]

I think it's fairly obvious that we just have to fight hard and hopefully can still pull out the #2 seed. The least we have to go for is some home games. This game is big and we have to get out of this funk we're in. When I get a little spirits in me, I can get louder, and let's just say I should be bringing my yelling voice! I am also getting a good number of people to come too so hopefully we can have a good presence!

See, some huge UIC fans actually do exist out there Please spread the word to any other UIC fans you know... Actually, Big D, there are alot of devoted fans out there. When I was at the Saginaw Valley game, there were three guys who definitely were not part of the Fury who looked like casual students attending the game. First, for them to make it to a UIC game vs a DII school says that they are very interested. I told them about this board, but I don't think they remembered the address. UICHoops.com did not exist at that time, so the address to this board was probably forgotten by them... But there are definitely fans out there. I'm glad Deb has the address to this board (I hope she also has uichoops.com too--this is much easier to remember). When the Fury learns of this board, there should be more members joining in... The fans are out there, but this board serves as a community uniter. Nothing like a community-feeling among fans of the Flames.
