Other academic rankings

For those that are interested in things like this, I saw some other university rankings in a UICNews article today...

The first is a ranking by Times Higher Education. They consider the following factors, each of which is broken down much further:

•Teaching - the learning environment (worth 30 per cent of the overall ranking score)
•Research - volume, income and reputation (worth 30 per cent)
•Citations - research influence (worth 32.5 per cent)
•Industry income - innovation (worth 2.5 per cent)
•International mix - staff and students (worth 5 per cent).

UIC comes in at 197 in the world and at 80 in North America.

No other HL school was ranked.

The other publication ranks the top 500 schools, worldwide, according to research impact, which is measured by number of publications and how many times those publications are cited by others.

UIC comes in at 105
UWM comes in at 422
Loyola comes in at 461
WSU comes in at 471

No other HL school is ranked.
