UIC lost at UWM yesterday 2-1...I think it was the first time they beat us in Milwaukee since 2001. They had last beaten us in Chicago in 2002. In our last 10 games, UIC was 8-0-2. I watched last night's game on their stream, which was pretty good. Once again, why is UIC not streaming games when multiple HL teams are?
Anyway, UIC looked pretty good with the ball last night...they just couldn't convert on some chances. The difference to me was we committed way too many fouls in too many bad spots. I think we had a 13-0 edge in fouls in the 2nd half alone. We gave them free kick after free kick just outside of the box. You can only give a team so many of those chances. In OT, within about a minute...another foul outside the box resulted in a header goal....disappointing considering we looked like the better team. With that win, we would've been positioned nicely in the HL...now, not so much.

Big D, Thanks for your interest in UIC Soccer! This weekend's and next week's results will go a long way in determining where the Horizon League Tournament will be held. UIC has as good of a chance to host the event as anybody. Detroit's 3-0-0 record is currently tops in the League; but the Flames and Titans will face off in the regular season finale at Flames Field on Nov. 2. While there are plenty of results to be had between now and then, that match could definitely be the deciding factor in the regular season Horizon League Championship race. Hi Brett, So, as you may have seen in my post, I've been wondering for a couple years now why you guys don't stream UIC soccer games? I know at least a couple HL teams are (Loyola, UWM). You gotta start thinking about your long-distance fans too Outside of that UWM game, you're right...UIC is on a heck of a run right now. Gotta take care of business at Green Bay.

Hi again, Big D ...
We don't stream soccer games, because unfortunately, there is no available internet out at the South Fields. If we host the HL Soccer Tournament, we'll be streaming everything, as we did at the baseball tournament. However, it turns into a very large production (running ethernet cables hundreds of feet from another building), and with weather concerns during the fall, it can be a bit dicey. If and when we are afforded a reliable internet connection (most likely a hard line), we'll begin streaming everything. The HLN is a great product, isn't it?
Speaking of soccer, we'll have a preview of the Green Bay game up no later than this afternoon.
