Can we catch GB at this point? They have 3 road games remaining, loyola, us, and wright state. UWGB 9-3 us 6-5 since they have the tiebreaker, would they essentially have to lose all three for us to pass them?

It is very plausible they could lose 3 out of the remaining 4. Let's just say I like our remaining schedule much better with 3 at home.

Naw, we're not going to catch them... too little too late, but still time to start getting ready for the first round...

Hopefully, we'll have a first round bye, so we can get ready for the second, and I don't have to spend the night in Milwaukee.

I don't know about you guys, but I am hoping we can also catch UWM. Now maybe I'm just being too optimistic, but hey, that's what fans are. But I do think we can catch GB. They have tough games ahead of them. If we don't, I think third place isn't that bad. I just hope Detroit, GB, and UWM are in a slump come tournament time.

bigm,
I think you're being optimistic beyond what Mathematics allows. I don't think its possible to catch them.

It isn't possible.
UWM is three games up in the loss column and we only have three more games left ... but we own the tiebreaker over UIC due to the sweep.
UWM clinched at worst a No. 2 seed in the tournament last night by beating Loyola. UWM will host the quarters and semis no matter what since UWGB can't due to a conflict at the Resch Center.

UIC better keep winning. I honestly am not writing this to be an antagonist but rather to point out that if they do not win there remaining games they could be a possible 7 seed. There are several teams that are all within one game of UIC. It is very likely that somehting like that could happen.
I dont thikn it was so much that we had a weak conference this year as much as we had a lot of parity in it. We all beat up on each other cause all teams are pretty young and talented. Watch out for Loyola in years to come they will be darn tough

Sorry, people. I made the comment before I checked the standing. I guess it would be impossible.

Haha. Thanks, UICJason. I have been in and out of UIC basketball the last couple of weeks because of school. I hope to pay more attention down the stretch.
