Not sure if anybody saw this, but ESPN's E60 program was scheduled to air a segment on Pat Grange last night. Pat played soccer at UIC his freshman and sophomore years (and played very well I might add), before transferring back home to New Mexico for his final two seasons. He developed Lou Gehrig's disease at 27 (the youngest to do so in New Mexico) and died in 2012. The story focuses on a potential link between repeated heading of the ball and the damage to his brain. As one might guess, of the four E60 segments to air tonight, the only one to be cut was this very segment so they could continue their 3-day Clippers marathon coverage. Of course, I had to watch 40 minutes of E60 to realize it would be cut short (stupid me)....instead of showing the 10 mins of commercials between segments 1 and 2, they probably could've fit this one in. Poor decision by ESPN considering I think this is more important than a Doc Rivers interview. Anyway, here's the opening clip from the segment (I believe)....check out that sweet framed picture of him in a UIC uniform www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1ZzNBFLq74
