I just went on D1baseball.com to see how we did in our season opener against Mississippi Valley State. We won the first game of a doubleheader: 24-5!!! WOW!!!

And we are up 7-0 in our second game. Was suspended due to darkness but resume tomorrow morning.
Most runs in a game since 2006.
I see the PEB was redone to a baseball practice facility. Basically an indoor field. A heck of a asset for a team in colder weather part of the country. Hopefully can really prepare these guys and tonight is a good sign.

Coach Dee and the other coaches are raving about the benefits of the indoor practice facility in the PEB. He also feels that this UIC team will be in the hunt for an HL championship. He's got depth and said for the first time in a while he won't be starting any freshmen, which means he's got some talented experience and some depth. It appears that the team will still be an offensive juggernaut. If they can get some good pitching and some good fielding (they had two errors in the first game against MVSU), they could run roughshod through the HL.
