Small change, but I noticed the “at” removed all over UIC’s website. It’s just “University of Illinois Chicago” I hopped over to UIUC’s page and they still have the “at”. Just found it interesting. Not sure I like the change…sounds less formal and now even more reason to use the hyphen. Head-scratching like a lot of stuff UIC does nowadays.

Actually, all 3 campuses appear to have dropped the "at", and none use a hyphen. The below links are from the "U of I Government Relations Newsletter" that was sent on 6/10. The links didn't come through, but if you go to the U of I site, I'm sure this newsletter is posted and you can click the links on it. None of the stories about each campus uses the "at". Not sure when it started, but it seems like I have seen this change for a while now. Not sure why the UIUC page continues to use "at". As far as I'm concerned, it actually treats all 3 campuses equally; they are all now referred to by location. No more Urbana-Champaign being the pre-eminent campus, i.e., "the University of Illinois". Now all three are the University of Illinois, signified by the city they are located in.
University of Illinois Chicago • Quad renovations begin • UIC engineering students build solar charging station for sustainability vehicle • Crowdfunding campaign aims to reduce barriers to students’ success
University of Illinois Springfield • UIS releases complete list of 2022 graduates • Dogs, mini horses help UIS students relax before finals
University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign • Udall award honors two students for commitment to environment • Three UIUC students awarded Boren Scholarships • UIUC students offered Gilman Scholarships for study abroad

I noticed it this past ('21-'22 academic year) season on some Twitter posts from UIC. I tweeted UIC about it as to the reason, but got no response. I actually like it more than using the "at".
