This is excellent news! Quite impressive. Now the next step (besides continuing to improve) is to get the public to realize this. I bet if you asked a common person, they'd believe that Loyola, DePaul, and even an Illinois State are superior schools. |

Latest rankings from US News and World Report are out and UIC has moved up to #82 in the National Universities (tied with a couple of other schools) and up to #40 in the Public Universities category.

I know that these ratings are very subjective but to be rated as the #82 University - and improving the past several years - is really impressive.
Some other schools of note:
Loyola - #142
DePaul - #151
Bradley - #185
ISU - #209
SIU - #280
UIUC - #35

It’s crazy how much distance is now between us and Loyola and Depaul. Loyola has fallen hard. Love to see us continue to rise. Now, if we could only pair this ranking with a stronger athletics dept…
