For a 4-star player, I’m happy to see four Illinois programs in his final 5. Would love to see us in the mix for good Chicago players. Not just the leftovers. He would be a good get.
How in the world is DePaul still a thing? They can offer Big East, but bottom of Big East. Build up UIC and compete in the Valley. It just seems the DePaul ends up with these guys more often than not.
If you want to be Chicago’s college team, you need to win recruiting battles like this.

Glad to see UIC make his top 5. Now time to get one of these guys to commit to us.
DePaul is so weird to me. They get a nicely ranked few players and still are bottom (by far) Big East. So let’s get over that and just make UIC the Chicago team already (Just my biased opinion).
NIU was an odd sight there
I don’t know why but worry he’ll go to ISU. Literally no idea why.
But we hit on a nicely ranked CPS recruit last week. Let’s get another - let’s get local guys to put UIC back on track.

Per his Twitter, there’s a ‘big announcement’ coming tomorrow (Monday).
My guess is DePaul. Hope it’s UIC of course.

Quick, someone post on his Twitter that “if he has a great year, he may get a transfer look from UIC”.

Quick, someone post on his Twitter that “if he has a great year, he may get a transfer look from UIC”. I used to feel that way, but no longer. There are just too many good players in high school and the transfer portal to be a "rebound" ( no pun intended) program. If the guy didn't want us in the first place, why would we want him if things didn't work out with the program he WANTED? How would the jilted players feel? The coaching staff? I could understand a player wanting to come home or stay home (Isaiah Rivera, Marquise Kennedy, respectively) after about 3 years or graduation. For a guy, however, to realize he messed up and after one year want to come to UIC... "F" him.
