They need to put this behind them and shake. They are both acting like a couple of babies.
The past is the past. They are on the floor today as rivals and need to show their respective teams some sportsmanship and leadership.

I disagree. In no way are they disrespecting each others teams or cities or schools. They don't like each other so don't shake their hands. The conference is fine with it so everyone else should be too.

I think you all would have appreciated the hell we gave old Brucey tonight. Broke out the oldie, but goodie, "Deon Thomas" chant. At one point, he was getting so frustrated, he ripped off his sportcoat to reveal this under armour type shirt. Oh boy. Anyways, I'm looking forward to next Thursday. Hopefully it will be a good game. Good luck to you guys until then  |

Ha, way to be GoRablers. I can certainly appreciate that. I actually wanted to head up to Loyola to see that, but we had a game at home.
I like to see games there because it's so small...except when I have to hear that announcer guy go "1st Personal, 3rd.........TEAM foul."

I luv it that you guys hate that J-- off as much as we do, I wish I was there to see it. Next year I will have to do the unthinkable and go cheer on loyola to beat UWM

Pearl throws his coat off at nearly every game, so I wouldn't take too much credit for that.
As for the wearing a t-shirt undeneath...I simply have no justification for what that's about. But hey, it's a bball game, not a fashion show...

Only thing these articles failed to mention was Jimmy flipping off the UWM crowd. Now that is something to be proud of. Jimmy will be lucky to keep his job at UIC. Bruce on the other hand will move on to a high major job and will never have to see Jimmy again. You people are forgetting that Collins was in the wrong, he lost his job at Illinois, doesn't that account for anything?

You people are forgetting that Collins was in the wrong, he lost his job at Illinois, doesn't that account for anything? We actually require that people know something about anything before the post here. You don't qualify. Jimmy didn't lose any job. He wasn't offered a head coaching position there, and he left to take the UIC job. The funny thing about flipping off the crowd is that NO reputable source has reported that. It seems to be a figment of the UWM Board's imagination. Also, Pearl will never get a real job. He is a traitor to the coaching community, and UWM being desperate is the only reason he got a chance at Div.1. Mark my words, no real school will EVER give him a chance after what he did. |

Not knowing our history and UWM being desperate huh. Alrighty then jackass, who was the UWM coach before Bruce Pearl if you know your history so well? I'll give you a hint, it was another coach who paid his dues at lower levels and won championships. Stuff that Jimmy never has nor will ever do.

If you knew half of what you claim too you would know that Jimmy did flip off the UWM fans. Were you even at the game??? I was and saw it first hand...why don't you ask him...he is so dishonest he probably would lie his way out of it. Jimmy will never coach again at Illinois, Bruce on the other hand could very easily be Iowa's next head coach. Time will tell but my money is with Bruce. All he did was uncover Jimmy's dishonest recruiting methods. Something no one else had the balls to do!

I also have to admit that after seeing him flip us off and the smart ass smirk he had on his face while doing it, it was all I could do to keep from throwing my pop bottle at him. He is a fruitcake!

Zzzzz...I've never seen a fan base so proud of the fact that their coach might leave them. It's assanine.
There is one reason Bruce Pearl was down at Division II....he broke the unwritten rules of coaches, and no one would have him. Otherwise, top assistants at Iowa don't go coach in Div II. Know your basketball.
Bruce will not get a major job...unless its with some classless institution like Cincinatti.
He will never coach in the Big 10, and will DEFINITELY never be the Iowa coach. You people have no idea what you're talking about.
And also, leave us alone.
